Stressful situations are part and parcel of today’s fast-paced world, and especially more so as the post-pandemic world emerges from the long, dark shadow of Coronavirus.

But stress is no laughing matter, and nowhere is this more evident than in the workplace.

From minor annoyances such as network and application latency derailing you from your desired pace to more complicated problems like dealing with workplace politics and juggling competing demands, stress can be an overwhelming emotional rollercoaster.

That’s not to mention the stressors you face outside of work.

There’s no shortage of studies that demonstrate how excessive stress levels can lead to physical health issues such as headaches, hypertension, gastrointestinal discomfort, and insomnia, among others.

And we haven’t even begun to mention the critical role stress plays in emotional health. Stress is oftentimes a bedfellow of other problems such as depression and anxiety.

Here’s the thing. There are many things outside your control at the workplace, but you aren’t helpless, even when it seems like the odds are insurmountable and there seems to be no solution in sight.
